Refund policies: Fees are non-refundable  and non-transferable unless class / camps get canceled.

Financial charges: $35 financial charge for each bounced check; $10 late fee for late payment; $10 per 15-minute late pickup (there's a 5 minute grace period after class ends)

Auditing: Auditing is only available for current students' parents when their children need parents' assistance in the class for a limited time (20 minutes or less preferred). If current students' parents would like to learn art-teaching skills through auditing, parents can pay $12 per hour for auditing (or any fee specified otherwise under each class). Auditing is not available for general public at this point.

Make-up class policies: Not all programs have make-up opportunities. There is no make-up class for seasonal camp or language class. In year-round art class, one makeup class is allowed per month but makeup class availability is is limited due to class size limitations. Please give us a 3-day’s prior notice via email for absence in order to be eligible for make-up class. Please email us 3 days in advance to schedule make-up class as well. We will work with you to find an available slot. Students have one exception for emergency and sudden sickness every 6 months. Students can only make up one class per month (including emergency and sudden sickness). Unused make-up class cannot be carried over. Please leave make-up for real emergency and sickness in order not to get behind on assigned projects. Year-round students cannot attend seasonal camp to make up the class.

Students must make-up a class within 30 days from the date of absence. We are constantly updating our curriculum so it is important to not make up the class too far in the future. Instructors also may not be able to help make-up students with projects different from what they are teaching. Students cannot reschedule make-upclass once spots are reserved, nor can students make up their make-up class if they miss it.

Since we offer students one make-up class per month, in case we have to cancel a class due to Instructors' sudden sickness, emergency, or other reasons, it is fair that we reschedul another make-up class (or ask students to make up class in other sessions). Fees will not be refunded in this case.

Permission for publishing students' works on our marketing materials and website By enrolling in our programs, adult registrants and parents of registrants under age 18 give the owner of Lascaux Academy to publish their pictures of registrants and thier works of art on the website of our school and the owner's website.

Switching sessions or class: switching to different type of art class in year-round program (for example, switching from mixed-media to watercolor class): students can switch from one type of art class to a different art class on at least bi-monthly basis so that students can achieve better learning results. Switching sessions in one program (for example, switch from watercolor Tu 4 – 6pm to Sunday 10am – 12pm session): students can switch to a different session based on monthly or bi-monthly enrollment (pending on whether the class is on monthly or bi-monthly enrollment). .

Switching weeks during seasonal camp: since it takes time to revise our database when students switch sessions, during busy seasonal camp, fees or deadline for switching might apply (please keep following up with our policies). There is no guarantee that there are spots available in sessions that students want to switch to.

We do not mix programs. For example, summer camp students cannot apply camp tuition to year-round and switch that way, and vice versa. It will mess up roaster and confuse teachers.

Vacational leave deposit: Students can take vacation leave twice a year if students pre-pay tuition or pay $65 deposit(applicable on tuition for the month of returning). If students are only away for less than two weeks, we do not pro-rate month fee; please make up the class, or take class at drop-in rate (click Art class fee on this link http://lascauxacademy.com/2.html).

When students need to take vacation for more than 3 weeks, students can pre-pay tuition of the monththey are going to return (or pay $65 deposit) to reserve their spots and get $30 re-enrollment fee waived (per student). If students are uncertain about which session to return, students have one chance to change session after they return. Payment must leave deposit before students drop out in order to be eligible for the fee waiver. Students must present flight tickets or proof of hotel reservation in order to be eligible for the pro-rate tuition and fee waiver.Absences for other reasons are not eligible for vacational leave. $30 re-enrollment fee applies on students that withdraw temporarily without leaving deposit.
