Art supplies and media: We offer more than 15 types of high-end art supplies for in-class use - including charcoals, water-soluble pencils, ink pens, brush painting, professional markers, Grumbacher watercolor (over than 60 colors), watercolor pencils, acrylic paints, oil paints, watercolor crayons, oil pastels, soft pastels, print-making, gen crayons and more. We recommend art supplies and media based on projects and students' interest and skill levels. Media listed in each week’s theme are suggested media for students to choose from. Students can choose other media with the instructor's permission.
Themes: Please see below for weekly themes. Themes in yellow chunks below are oil paintings, print-making, or brush painting. Students that enroll in weeks of oil painting get one free canvas (12” x 16” or 16” x 20” pending on projects) for in class use!
6/6/11 – 9/2/11 M – F 12pm – 3:30pm (instruction starts from about 12:45pm through 3:15pm)
Teachers show students how to draw and paint. Students can use computers to review the instruction to get short questions answered.
Age group: for age between 5 through 15: We separate age groups by work stations and subject matters. We have lesson plans for different age groups and interests each week.
We teach solid drawing and painting skills with a variety of art supplies on a diversity of interesting subjects; we also show students how to incorporate their creativity when they are ready.
